Brooklyn Esoteric Rarities: A Conversation, Virtual Tour and Show and Tell with Collector and Gallerist Stephen Romano
Join us on Monday, September 14th as we converse with dear friend and many-time collaborator Stephen Romano. Collector and curator of visionary and vernacular rarities, Romano will talk about his fascination for the esoteric and will present artifacts and books from his private collection. The show and tell will include masonic memorabilia, vernacular and spirit photographs, magical objects and grimoires, diableries, the “Venus of Detroit”, unseen works by Wolfang Grasse and much more!
Stephen Romano is a Brooklyn based collector, curator, and gallerist. He has collaborated with cultural institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Reina Sophia in Madrid, Gagosian Gallery in New York, the Dark Mofo Festival in Tasmania, Morbid Anatomy at Greenwood Cemetery, the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick in Cleveland, among others. Romano supports our beloved artist community by producing pop up exhibitions, the most recent of which was a Twin Peaks tribute show “No Stars” in collaboration with Josh Stebbins and Rebekah Del Rio.
Thanks to Stephen Romano, all the proceeds from this events will be helping to rebuild the Morbid Anatomy Library, in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
