A Farce of Nature

This Olio will boil down the hard science of the world research consensus and put it in the context of a world economy struggling to recover from the coronavirus.

Supporters of the market economy always celebrate its strong exponential growth trend but don’t want to recognize the parallel exponential growth of the side-effects, like pollution and climate change. These are “externalities” in economic lingo, or “neighborhood effects,” but the projections of large parts of the world becoming unlivable, declines in food production, extreme weather and sea-level rise are global in scale.

This Olio will boil down the hard science of the world research consensus and put it in the context of a world economy struggling to recover from the coronavirus.

Join us as we explore questions such as:

“How do we know the scientific consensus recognizes global climate change?”
“What’s expected to happen as the world continues heating?”
“Are warming effects happening now?”
“What does global climate change have to do with Covid-19?”
