SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival New York – March 16-27, 2022

The ninth edition of SR Socially Relevant Film Festival, New York (SRFF) opens at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center on March 16, at 6:00 PM with the French film Their Algeria by Lina Soualem, followed by the Canadian co-production, Road to the Lemon Grove by Dale Hildebrand at 7:50 PM. The hybrid program comprising 64 films from 39 countries, resumes over the weekend of March 18, 19 & 20 at Cinema Village, before streaming online March 20-27.

SRFF was founded in 2013 by actress/filmmaker Nora Armani in a response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling. SRFF is a non-profit 501(c)3 film festival whose mission is to provide a platform for filmmakers who tell human interest stories and create socially relevant film content. Over 550 films from 39 countries have been screened since the festival’s first edition in 2014. Supporters of SRFF include Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, Erin Brockovich, Martin Sheen, Pulitzer Prize, and Tony award-winner Robert Schenkkan, best-selling French novelist Marc Levy, Academy Award Nominee and Emmy Award Winner Guy Davidi, American TV personality and author Gretchen Carlson. http://www.ratedsrfilms.org/
