New York Law School’s CityLaw Breakfast Series concludes for the semester with its third annual Civic Fame Awards. This year’s honorees are Hon. David N. Dinkins, the 106th Mayor of New York City; Wayne G. Hawley, retiring Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel for the New York City Conflicts of Interest Board; Susan M. Hinkson ’98, a retiring Vice Chair and Commissioner of the New York City Board of Standards and Appeals; Con Edison, a founding sponsor of the CityLaw Breakfast Series; and NY1’s “Inside City Hall,” celebrating its 25th anniversary. Errol Louis, the host of NY1’s “Inside City Hall,” will speak at the event.
Anthony W. Crowell, Dean and President of New York Law School and former counselor to Mayor Bloomberg, and Professor Ross Sandler, founding director of the Center for New York City Law at New York Law School, will give opening remarks.
CityLaw breakfasts are typically held six to eight times a year at New York Law School and feature prominent speakers discussing current government and political issues. There were nine CityLaw breakfasts this year. They are free and open to the public. An audience Q&A follows each speaker’s remarks. The events are often broadcast by NYC Media cable television throughout the five boroughs and are webcast live at http://www.citylandnyc.org.
This is the 143rd CityLaw Breakfast. Founding sponsors of the breakfasts include Consolidated Edison, Verizon, and Greenberg Traurig LLP.
