An die Musik Presents: Schubert and Mozart
Sunday, October 27th marks the opening of our third season! String trios by Franz Schubert and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be featured alongside Johan Halvorsen’s Passacaglia for Violin and Viola. Schubert began composing his light and lovely String Trio in B-flat Major, D. 471 in 1816, though never managed to finish more than the first movement of the work. Conversely, Mozart’s Divertimento in E-flat Major, K. 563, composed in 1788, is an extremely substantial, six-movement work with rich parts presented by each of the instrumentalists. The performance will showcase violinist Maïthéna Girault, violist Nickolas Kaynor and cellist Rajan Kapoor.
