Help test a New Live-Action Game – Play the part of a Millionaire Investor
Take on the role of a high-flying investor in drone start-ups. Listen to entrepreneurs’ pitches and decide what’s worth investing your millions in. Are these ideas practical, outlandish or potentially visionary? Ask questions, probe the feasibility of their ideas, and then place your bets on what will fly and what will crash and burn. The start-up with the most funding at the end wins.
This is an early playtest of a game that will debut alongside the Museum’s upcoming exhibition Drones: Is the Sky the Limit? Your play and feedback will help us shape this unique game experience. You can even help us pick a name!
Arthur Holland Michel, co-director of the Center for the Study of the Drone at Bard College, will share the surprising story of how drones became one of the hottest technologies of our era, how they’re used today and what we can expect next in our increasingly drone-filled future. Holland Michel has written about drones and robots for Wired, Vice, Mashable, Motherboard and The Verge.
Ages 21+. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Doors open at 6:45pm.
Holland Michel’s presentation begins at 7:30pm, and the game begins at 8:00pm.
Sign-up to participate in the game begins at 6:45pm. Space is limited and first-come, first-served.
Everyone else is welcome to watch and give feedback!
