Atlas Obscura’s Wonders of FiDi
What We’ll Do
Thousands of people head to Manhattan’s Financial District each day to work. But few of them ever notice the wondrous sights and curious landmarks all around them, just hiding in plain sight. On Atlas Obscura’s tour of the Financial District we’ll begin at the Sea Glass Carousel, one of FiDi’s strangest unsung wonders. From there we’ll explore the neighborhood and experience some of the odd, unknown, surprising, and incredible sights it has to offer. During the tour you’ll feel the royal history at the oldest fence in New York; discover the final remnant of New York’s original produce exchange, visit a hidden park overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge; find the scars of a forgotten explosive attack on Wall Street; look for Masonic symbols in the Trinity Church graveyard; grab a drink in a massive bank vault; and much more.
Where We’ll Be
Some of the incredible sites you may visit during our tour include the Sea Glass Carousel, Bowling Green, the lobby of the former Standard Oil Building, Fraunces Tavern, Stone Street, the Elevated Acre, Delmonico’s, Wall Street, Trinity Church, the Trinity Place Bank Vault, and more!
