Angela Bowie, the celebrated Empress of London’s Glam Rock scene in the 1970s, is a writer, rocker, fashion icon, and LGBTQ activist. Ms. Bowie was formerly married to late rock legend David Bowie and recounted their colorful life together in her best-selling memoir Backstage Passes: Life on the Wild Side with David Bowie, a chronicle of the Golden Age of rock ’n’ roll and what it was like spending time with stars such as Mick Jagger, Elton John, Iggy Pop, and Lou Reed.
Ms. Bowie is also the author of Lipstick Legends (now available as an Audible audiobook), Bisexuality, and Pop-Sex. She will be joined by illustrator Rick Hunt. They recently collaborated on Mr. Hunt’s new art book Gaucho Visions. Music will be provided by internationally acclaimed jazz drummer Amaury Acosta.
Ms. Bowie and Mr. Hunt will discuss their work and do a Q&A with the audience following their presentations. Copies of Gaucho Visions will be available for sale and signing.
