About the Hosts: Patricia Dinglasan, Kyle Marian, and Dominique Nisperos are Filipinx comedians based in New York City. They partner with Filipino and Asian-American small businesses and NYC’s amazing Fil-Am comedians, bringing together a community of laughs and great food. They’ve been featured on The Inquirer US and performed sold-out shows at the Caveat Theatre, Kabisera Cafe’s street shed, Barkada Market Market’s Filipino Independence Day celebration, NYC’s Ube Festival, and NYC’s Lumpia Festival.
Banana Ketchup Comedy has been spotlighted on Inquirer.net, “Jo Koy may have recently called America’s attention to Filipino humor, but there is still a wide gap in the recognition of non-male Fil-Am stand-up comedians in mainstream media. When he performed his 2020 Netflix special In His Elements in Manila with a Fil-Am comic crew, none of those who shared the stage with him was female, queer or identify as non-binary. A Filipino comedy collective called Banana Ketchup is rising to the challenge of making a breakthrough.”
