Beyond is a unique conference which brings together influential figures for a series of inspirational talks and interactive discussions. Over the course of the day, participants will hear from and network with top global executives, social entrepreneurs, artists, chefs and TV personalities.
The conference will also feature a virtual reality presentation, sensory exhibition and Israeli culinary showcase.
Yoni Weintraub
Yoni Weintraub is the co-founder of Space-IL, an Israeli nonprofit organization competing in the Google Lunar X Prize (GLXP) to land a spacecraft on the moon in 2017. SpaceIL aims to launch the smallest and lightest vehicle to ever land on the moon.
Yoni, who is also working on a cancer research in the course of a PhD at Stanford, uses the SpaceIL project as a platform to inspire school children to take an interest in science and technology.
Seth Siegal
Seth Siegel’s recent NYT bestseller ‘Let There Be Water’ has done a great deal to raise awareness about the worsening global water crises and possible solutions to it, based on the Israeli experience. He has spoken on water issues around the world and throughout the US.
Captain Barrington Irving
Captain Barrington Irving, Born in Jamaica in 1983, was the youngest person to pilot a plane around the world solo. He went on to found Experience Aviation, an NGO dedicated to empowering minority youth to pursue careers in aviation.
Ami Dar
Ami Dar, born in Jerusalem and raised in Peru and Mexico, is the founder and director of Idealist.org. Launched in 1996, Idealist has become one of the most popular non-profit web resources, connecting 120,000 organizations around the world with millions of people every month.
Chef JJ Johnson
Joseph is the Executive Chev of award-wining restaurant the Cecil (named “Best Restaurant in America’ in 2014 by the New Yorker) and jazz club Minton’s in Harlem. His Afro-Asian-American cuisine draws influence from the African diaspora and his travels around the world, including most recently, Jerusalem.
Guy Spigelman
Guy Spigelman quit a career as a business development executive to head PresenTense Israel – an organization dedicated to inclusion of Israel’s underprivileged populations in the entrepreneurship scene. Each year, PresnTense helps over 100 entrepreneurs launch social and tech ventures.
Jennifer Teege
Jennifer Teege is the daughter of German mother and a Nigerian Father. She holds degrees from Tel Aviv university in Middle Eastern and African studies. Her book ‘My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me’, a New York Times bestseller is about her discovery of the history of her maternal grandfather, Amon Goeth, a Nazi concentration camp commander.
George Logothetis
George Logothetis, Chairman and CEO of Libra Group, an international business group focused primarily on shipping, aviation and renewable energy. The group undertakes numerous philanthropic initiatives around the world, with an emphasis on communities with opportunity and achievement gaps. With his wife Nitzia, George founded the Seleni Institute, a non-profit organization that addresses maternal mental health.
Brett Berns
Berns has dedicated his adult life to championing his late father – songwriter, record producer and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Bert Berns. Bert Berns had a hand in the creation of classic hits “Twist and Shout,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” and “Under the Boardwalk.” He is lead producer of the Broadway-bound musical Piece of My Heart and co-director and producer of the documentary film BANG! The Bert Berns Story, which premiered at this year at SXSW.
