“Wildlife” is probably not the first thing you think when you hear “New York City,” and yet the city is teeming with it. There are seemingly pigeons on every ledge, sparrows in every nook, and starlings by every garbage can—and, in Central Park alone, there have been over 280 recorded bird species. Come join Gizmodo for a celebration of our flying neighbors, featuring odes and lectures from birders, scientists, and science communicators. Zines filled with bird art, content and comics come with the price of admission!
This event follows a free bird walk through Central Park led by New York City Audubon’s Jeffrey Ward, which will be meeting at Central Park’s 79th street entrance (across from AMNH) at 9am to catch some of the annual fall migration. Binoculars recommended.
If you plan on attending the bird walk, please fill out this form!
