TV (The Book)

Matt Zoller Seitz and Alan Sepinwall in person for discussion and book signing!

For nearly a decade, Matt Zoller Seitz and Alan Sepinwall were the Newark Star Ledger’s “Two-Headed Beast,” sharing a TV column where they contemplated The Sopranos, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, Deadwood and The Wire, among other “Golden Age” flagship programs. Today Sepinwall maintains “What’s Alan Watching” at Hitfix, while Seitz’s television coverage can be found in New York Magazine’s Vulture, but the two have rejoined to crown one TV show above all others. That debate unfolds in TV (The Book): Two Experts Pick The Greatest American Shows of All Time, an anthology of original essays in which the two muse on usual suspects like The Wire, cult favorites such as Firefly and My So-Called Life, syndicated classics from I Love Lucy to Seinfeld, and recent contenders in Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Join us as the authors tackle the timeless question in a discussion of their book and of television new and old and the state of TV today, with a book-signing to follow.
