The Other Box Project on Love, Race and Identity: 1967-2017

Fifty years ago on June 12, 1967, the U.S. Supreme Court declared laws criminalizing interracial marriage unconstitutional, clearing the way for couples to marry and start families regardless of race, without hiding in the shadows. The law changed, overnight, but not so the larger society.

Join WNYC’s All Things Considered host Jami Floyd as we launch The Other Box Project: a year-long series of public conversations, film and exhibitions exploring the changing nature of multiracial identity in the 50 years since the landmark decision in Loving v. Virginia.
