Larry Ruhl will read from and discuss his new memoir BREAKING THE RUHLS (Central Recovery Press, February 2018), which details his coming to terms with complex childhood trauma: paternal incest and maternal mental illness, which led to depression, addiction, and difficulty accepting his homosexuality. It’s a searing story and a poignant narrative of healing and recovery, one that breaks through many deeply held societal taboos. Larry will be joined by Eva Tenuto, founder of the TMI Project. Eva and Larry will explore topics from the book including sexuality, the importance of sharing your truth, and finding your path to resilience.
