Brooklyn Bird Club Presents: Saving Jamaica Bay | Screening

Saving Jamaica Bay is a documentary that focuses on the Broad Channel community’s decades-long fight to clean up a notorious environmental and mob dumping ground, to save and restore barrier reefs and to preserve a nature sanctuary. It is now a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary and important way station for migratory birds. The film will be presented by Daniel Hendricks, the writer and producer, and followed by a discussion and update on the post Hurricane Sandy restoration project.
