Noted multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and educator Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, who is commissioned for this year’s festival, will present his newly composed versions of the music from the epochal 1949 and ‘50 “Charlie Parker with String” sessions. He will share his take on the original historic recordings, and his singular approach to reviving such a classic, with noted author, music journalist and educator Ashley Kahn.
