Chelsea Music Festival:Family Event—Saturday Salon With Fanny & Felix

Fanny Mendelssohn was well known for hosting salons in her living room, which attracted guests ranging from famous poets, musicians, and royalty as well as making a welcome and inspiring space for the entire family.  While unable to perform publicly like her brother, these salons provided Fanny the opportunity to have a space to share her own compositions amongst other curated selections which laid the foundation for what we now consider standard repertoire.

For this year’s family event, we open up a space that welcomes the entire family to get creative!  Join members of the Leadlights Ensemble alongside Festival Chefs and Team who will lead an activity-filled event.
