COMMUNING WITH TREES
Elyse Pomeranz
At the end of his life, Rudolf Steiner described letting go of sense-based perception so that with Imaginative Cognition we can experience the elemental world, what Marjorie Spock called the etheric “sea of sounding color.” In Steiner’s bee lectures he describes using Imagination as perception in “entering” an ant hill so as to understand what is taking place inside. Elyse Pomeranz is researching mature and ancient trees globally, some as old as 5,000 years; hear about individual trees and their collaboration in our cultural undertakings, from the Anckerwycke Yew (left) under whose canopy the Magna Carta was signed, to trees in school playgrounds who support the children and teachers.
ELYSE POMERANZ: trains and mentors Waldorf teachers. She studied with Marko and Ana Pogacnik and completed their North American School of Geomancy. She is a graduate of the Arscura School of Living Art.
