Creative Spaces Empowering the City

The Shed, the Public Art Fund, and the West Kowloon Cultural District are ambitious projects that envision their cities as hosts for dynamic spaces that make art available to the community. Join Alex Poots, founding chief executive and artistic director of The Shed; Suhanya Raffel, executive director of the M+ Museum, part of the West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong; and Nicholas Baume, director and chief curator of the New York Public Art Fund to discuss creative spaces and community. This discussion will examine the role of arts and culture in contemporary global society, the relationship between the individual and community, and the synergies between economic growth and cultural enterprise.
