Ethics and the Theater will present a play reading of By The Water, by Sharyn Rothstein.

Marty and Mary Murphy have moved back into their beachside Staten Island house, intending to repair the damage done by Hurricane Sandy and resume the life they lived there for decades. They soon find that fixing blasted walls and removing toxic mold is the easy part, accomplished with mere hard work and humor. Reviving the close-knit community they helped build, on the other hand, opens old wounds, pitting neighbor against neighbor and laying bare the fault lines in their own family.
