Generation R Literary Night with Boris Fishman: Savage Feast: Three Generations, Two Continents, and a Dinner Table

Be among the first to hear Generation R favorite Boris Fishman read from his new memoir Savage Feast: Three Generations, Two Continents, and a Dinner Table (Feb 2019) It’s a family memoir told through recipes, and an inquiry into all the meanings food can have after generations of scarcity, from the author’s great-grandparents in Minsk before World War II until today. Savage Feast includes passages about a narrowly-avoided firing squad, pursuit by the KGB, chapters on immigrating through Vienna and Rome, cooking at a Russian restaurant on the Lower East Side, and some hard-earned romance! A labor of love for the past five years, Boris is excited to share his intimate new memoir with the Generation R community–and beyond!

Generation R is supported by The Jewish Education Project, with generous funding from the Genesis Philanthropy Group.
