Historic Workshop: Greek Revival Ceramics

From furniture to literature and architecture, the daily lives of New Yorkers were infused with ancient Greek art and history, an infusion and  fascination which continues today.   In conjunction with our new exhibit: Style, Myth and Modernity in Greek Revival New York, we invite you to a hands-on art and craft ceramic workshop centered on the motifs of ancient Greece. First enjoy a curator-led Museum-wide tour to see and be inspired by objects from our Museum’s collection of Greek Revival décor in New York City. Then dive in to our cachepot of materials to make Greek-influenced pendants and objects of  your own.
