Join us via webinar for a fascinating and thought-provoking conversation with quantum physicist, New York Times bestselling author, and BBC host Jim Al-Khalili.
With his newly released book The World According to Physics as a point of reference, Al-Khalili will offer an illuminating look at what physics reveals about the world. By shining a light on the most profound insights revealed by modern physics, he invites us to reflect on what this crucially important science can tell us about the universe and the nature of reality itself. Using relatable examples and thought-provoking analogies, Al-Khalili will elucidate the speculative frontiers of the field, and the physics that underpin our everyday experiences and technologies. Educational and illuminating, this talk will illustrate why physics is indispensable to understanding the world around us and will invite us all to share in the profound adventure of seeking truth.
Jim Al-Khalili is professor of physics at the University of Surrey. He is one of Britain’s best-known science communicators and has written numerous books, including The World According to Physics, Quantum: A Guide for the Perplexed; and Life on the Edge: The Coming of Age of Quantum Biology.
