Intercultural Poetry presents an evening with Chervena Barva Press (Boston, Mass)

Tim Suermondt is the author of three full-length collections of poems along with three chapbooks. He has poems published in Poetry, The Georgia Review, Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, Blackbird, Bellevue Literary Review, North Dakota Quarterly, among others. He is a book reviewer for Cervena Barva Press and a poetry reviewer for Bellevue Literary Review. He lives in Cambridge (MA) with his wife, the poet Pui Ying Wong.

Gloria Mindock is the founding editor of Cervena Barva Press and one of the USA editors for Levure Litteraire (France). She is the author of Whiteness of Bone (Glass Lyre Press, 2016), La Portile Raiului (Ars Longa Press, 2010, Romania) translated into the Romanian by Flavia Cosma, Nothing Divine Here (U Soku Stampa, 2010, Montenegro), and Blood Soaked Dresses (Ibbetson, 2007). Widely published in the USA and abroad, her poetry has been translated and published into the Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, Estonian, and French.

Pui Ying Wong was born in Hong Kong. She is the author of a full length book of poetry Yellow Plum Season (New York Quarterly Books, 2010), two chapbooks: Mementos (Finishing Line Press, 2007), Sonnet for a New Country (Pudding House Press, 2008). She also has another full length book An Emigrant’s Winter coming out in 2016 from Glass Lyre Press. Her poems have appeared or forthcoming in Prairie Schooner, The Southampton Review, Plume Poetry Journal, The New York Times, Crannog (Ireland), Gargoyle, The Brooklyner, Cha: An Asian Literary Journal (Hong Kong), Pirene’s Fountain, and Valparaiso Poetry Review among others.

Andrey Gritsman is a native of Moscow, immigrated to the United States in 1981. He have published six volumes of poetry in Russian and four collections in English. He received the 2009 Pushcart Prize Honorable Mention XXIII and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize several times between 2005 – 2010. Poems, essays, and short stories in English have appeared or are forthcoming in more than 80 literary journals, including Ars Interpres (Stockholm, Sweden), Cimarron Review, Confrontation, Denver Quarterly, Epicenter,Euphony, Fortnight (N. Ireland, UK), Hawaii Review, Hiram Poetry Review, Landfall (New Zealand), Left Curve, New Orleans Review, New Zoo Poetry Review, Nimrod International Journal, Notre Dame Review, Permafrost, Phantasmagoria, Poet Lore, Poetry International, Post Road, Puerto del Sol, Reed Magazine,Richmond Review (London), The Writer’s Chronicle, and many others. He edits the international poetry magazine Interpoezia and runs the Intercultural Poetry Series at Cornelia Street Café in New York. Andrey’s new collection Family Chronicles is forthcoming from Cervena Barva Press in 2017
