Celebrated actor Madhur Jaffrey, with credits ranging from Merchant-Ivory’s acclaimed film Shakespeare-Wallah to this year’s And Just Like That, is also a world-renowned ambassador of Indian cuisine. She will discuss her multi-layered life from her early years in New Delhi to her association with filmmaker, theater, and film legends. Jaffrey appears in conversation with Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts.
The Center for Fiction (15 Lafayette Street, Brooklyn)
Award winning British writer and broadcaster Howard Jacobson in conversation with Sanjoy K. Roy. Jacobson’s novels include The Mighty Walzer, winner of the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize, Kalooki Nights, longlisted for the Man Booker Prize, The Act of Love and the Man Booker Prize winning The Finkler Question. At the session, Jacobson will take us through the many contours of his writing life and the process of bringing pen to paper.
