Keyboard Conversations® With Pianist Jeffrey Siegel | Beethoven: Love & Defiance

“An achievement of a sort seldom heard.” The New York Times

Internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel returns to Scandinavia House (Park Avenue and E. 38th St) to present the opening concert of the 2024-2025 series of Keyboard Conversations®.

“Beethoven: Love and Defiance” features the tempestuous “Appassionata” Sonata, written during the greatest personal crisis in the composer’s life, and the tender, lyrical “Thérèse” Sonata, dedicated to a young, aristocratic woman, who is believed to be Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved.”

An evening of passion, pathos, and love that will linger in memory long after the last note has been played.

Captivating remarks combine with dazzling performances, followed by a brief, entertaining Q&A—all questions welcome!
