Lecture: Renaissance and Baroque Bronzes from the Hill Collection

Join David Ekserdjian, art history professor at the University of Leicester, for an evening to examine the Hill Collection exhibition, which combines celebrated masterpieces with new discoveries in the field of bronzes.

The lecture will also seek to trace the history of the bronze statuette from the late fifteenth to the eighteenth century in Italy and northern Europe. In so doing, particular emphasis will be placed on the works of preeminent sculptors such as Giambologna, Tetrode and Adriaen de Vries.
