LITFILM: A BPL Film Festival About Writers

Get an inside look at the private lives and artistic processes of some of the world’s greatest literary figures. Now in its second year, LitFilm will feature inspiring documentaries and feature films on Maya Angelou, Margaret Atwood, Pablo Neruda, Lorraine Hansberry, Wole Soyinka, Pete Hamill and Jimmy Breslin, Samuel Beckett, Larry Kramer, and many others.

The weeklong event will also see appearances by filmmakers Tracy Heather Strain (director, Sighted Eyes, Feeling Heart), Jonathan Alter, John Block, and Stephen McCarthy (directors, Breslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists); as well as writer Mark Eisnerand more.

All screenings are taking place at the Brooklyn Public Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn
