More than 40 years have passed since Louis Armstrong passed away in 1971, but his influence on world of jazz, and on trumpeters particularly, is still as strong as ever. On this very special afternoon, Ricky Riccardi will moderate a discussion on Armstrong’s impact on jazz with three of the finest trumpeters (and Armstrong disciples) in the world today: Jon Faddis, Warren Vache and Bria Skonberg. Each musician will discuss what Armstrong means to them personally and what he means to today’s jazz scene.
