With First They Killed My Father, Ung gives an unflinching account of the Cambodian killing fields, where she lost her parents, two of her sisters, and 20 other family members. Since 1995, Loung Ung has made over 30 trips back to her native Cambodia and continues to advocate for human rights and justice worldwide.
