Presenting a mash-up of Yiddish, Chinese, and Puerto Rican musical traditions! In this joyous concert at the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue, Zisl Slepovitch and his band, Litvakus, Chinatown’s own Music From China and Grammy nominated drummer Bobby Sanabria explore the musical traditions of the Jewish, Chinese and Puerto Rican communities that have made their home on the Lower East Side. It’s a perfect musical mix for the Museum’s historic venue–the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue–located in the heart of this culturally diverse immigrant neighborhood.
