92Y’s Louis Rosen takes you inside the many stages of making of an album: songwriting — both music and lyrics — writing arrangements, pre-production and the recording process itself, through the exploration of his seventh album, the new release, Dust to Dust Blues.

Albums of his work include South Side Stories; One Ounce of Truth: The Nikki Giovanni Songs; The Ache of Possibility; Time Was; Dream Suite: Songs in Jazz and Blues on Poems by Langston Hughes; and Act One: Piano Music from the Theater; and he has performed his songs in concert halls and nightclubs from across the U.S. to Africa. Awards include the Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship in Music Composition, the NEA New American Works Grant, and the 2nd Annual Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Musical Theater Award.
