Performers Laura Rocklyn and Sarah Rose Kearns (both featured in last season’s staged reading of Persuasion) return to the Library with Manydown, a thirty-minute play about Jane Austen and her sister Cassandra, written by Sarah Rose Kearns. One night in December 1802, the novelist must face a difficult choice around love, community, and art. Elizabeth Audley directs.
This event will feature a semi-staged reading of this play-in-progress, followed by talkback and conversation with the presenters and director.
