On July 18th, The Mason Brothers continue their musical journey with a release of their second album “Efflorescence”. Described as “one of the most important trombone voices of today’s generation,” Elliot is currently a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. Brad has proven himself as one of New York’s highly respected trumpet players and educators. Brothers Mason share a truly unique musical bond and vision when performing together. In their recent interview about the highly anticipated new album they explained the meaning of the album and their new musical path “With efflorescence we tried to capture and present an artists spiritual, intellectual and emotional flowering.” said Elliot, to what Brad added: “We wanted this record to start where “2 sides, 1 story” left off, and progress to find its own musical identity.”
The new album will feature some of New York City’s finest jazz musicians, performing all new music. The Mason Brothers Quintet will feature: Dave Kikoski – Piano, Ali Jackson – Drums, Matt Penman – Bass, Elliot Mason – Trombone & Brad Mason – Trumpet & Flugelhorn. Their past two performances with this A-grade band at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola generated glowing reviews and high demand for a follow-up. Mark your calendars and don’t miss the opportunity to be at the album release. They will be playing two sets on July 18th, 7:30pm & 9:30pm at the Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola.
