Music Tells Us How We Want to Be—A Celebration!

“Music Tells Us How We Want to Be—a Celebration!” is the title of a thrilling public seminar that will take place on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at 6:30pm. It will be held at the Aesthetic Realism Foundation, a not-for-profit educational foundation, at 141 Greene Street, off West Houston St., in SoHo, NYC.

The speakers are musicians and educators. With musical examples from classical to rock ‘n’ roll, to Broadway, they will present something the philosophy Aesthetic Realism magnificently explains: 1) what makes for the beauty of music, and 2) the fact that music shows how we can honestly know and like ourselves. The basis is this landmark principle stated by Eli Siegel, founder of Aesthetic Realism:

“All beauty is a making one of opposites, and the making
one of opposites is what we are going after in ourselves.”

Everyone attending will have an illuminating, unforgettable time!
