Cathy N. Davidson is the author of the recently published The Future of Thinking: Learning Institutions in a Digital Age. Her other books include Revolution and the Word: The Rise of the Novel in America, Reading in America: Literature and Social History, The Book of Love: Writers and Their Love Letters, Thirty-Six Views of Mount Funi: On Finding Myself in Japan. She is general editor of the Oxford University PressEarly American Women Writers series and the co-founder of HASTAC, the Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Advanced Collaboratory. She is also the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Duke University.
