She is general editor of the Oxford University PressEarly American Women Writers series and the co-founder of HASTAC, the Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Advanced Collaboratory. She is also the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Duke University.
