Chilean-born community organizer, licensed midwife and social justice trainer Paula X. Rojas grew up in Houston, and spent over a decade working as an organizer in Brooklyn. Following in the footsteps of family members in Chile, Paula began working on social justice issues affecting her local community as a teen. For over 25 years, she has organized at the intersection of race, class and gender. Since returning to Texas in 2008, she has supported the training and development of local community organizers and their organizations. She is the mother of two amazing kids, Xue-li and Camino, and loves to dance!
