“Towards a deepening of the Christmas Foundation Impulse”
Afternoon talk by Gino Ver Eecke
$20 suggested fee
As we are nearing the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Foundation Meeting let us take this opportunity to prepare ourselves in making steps toward that lofty ideal that was planted on that day. The ideal that can be summed up best in Rudolf Steiner’s words from the 13th of January 1924: “The soil in which the Stone was laid could be no other that the hearts and souls of those united in the Society. And the Foundation Stone itself must be the attitude of mind which grows when Anthroposophy gives shape to life. This attitude in life, as it is required by the signs of the present time, lies in the will to find—by deepening the human soul—the path to an awakened vision of the Spirit and to a life proceeding from the Spirit.”
In this talk I will explore with you this path to an awakened vision of the Spirit and to a life proceeding from the Spirit.
Gino Ver Eecke met Anthroposophy in his birth town of Roeselare, Belgium, at the young age of 16. After working for a year on a BD-farm in Switzerland, he moved to New York to study eurythmy, receiving his diploma from Eurythmy Spring Valley in 1994. For eighth years he performed as the character of Benedictus with the Threefold Mystery Drama Group, culminating in the performance of the Four Mystery Dramas in the summer of 2014. During the Mystery Drama Conference at the Goetheanum in July 2018, Gino performed the last scene of “The Soul’s Awakening.” Currently he guides the work of the Threefold Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in Chestnut Ridge, NY.
