Pioneer Works & Green-Wood Present: Graveyard Shift

Pioneer Works and Green-Wood will partner this summer for Graveyard Shift, an inaugural site-specific performance program featuring commissioned works by musician Yonatan Gat and the Eastern Medicine Singers and performer Kim Brandt.

Graveyard Shift proposes a new way of interacting with the cemetery space by interpreting it through sight, sound, and movement. This program features commissioned music and dance pieces that use Green-Wood Cemetery’s storied landscape and monuments as reference points.

A multicultural collaboration between the acclaimed guitarist Yonatan Gat and the Native American group Eastern Medicine Singers. This special performance concludes with a procession across Green-Wood’s moonlit paths. Ticket is $25; $22.50 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund and members of the Brooklyn Historical Society. Reservations are recommended. If the performance is not sold out, walk-ups will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Rain Date: Sunday, July 28, 2019; 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
