Empaths and highly sensitive people can feel everything. They are emotional sponges who tend to absorb the stress of others and the world. As a result, they often become overwhelmed and are prone to exhaustion. In this talk, Dr. Judith Orloff, UCLA-trained psychiatrist, NY Times best-selling author, and an empath herself, will teach techniques to help to prevent compassion-fatigue, as well as how to embrace our gifts of intuition, compassion, and caring.
During this evening talk, Dr. Orloff will discuss how to develop empathy without burning out; how to be in a relationship without feeling overwhelmed; protecting yourself from emotional hangovers; combatting narcissists and other energy vampires at work; staying centered in crowded areas; and learning grounding—a shielding visualization and a protection meditation. The sooner you can reduce stress, the more joyful you will be.
Ticket includes a copy of The Empath’s Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive People.
