Take a moment to contemplate the beauty and spirit of Japan through a bowl of tea. At this special public tea ceremony, we pull back the curtain on the traditions of the Omotesenke school of tea, which was founded over 450 years ago by tea master Sen Rikyu. Learn about the etiquette, history and modern practice of the tea ceremony, and enjoy an on-stage demonstration by tea masters from Omotesenke headquarters in Kyoto.

Participants will enjoy a seasonal wagashi, and matcha in the Japan Society auditorium.
