Mahogany L. Browne, multiple-award-winning writer, playwright, organizer and educator is the author of the famously banned board book Woke Baby and the 2023 poetry collection Chrome Valley: “at once a luminous hymn and a battle cry…” and “…an intricate portrait of Black womanhood in America.” She is the inaugural poet-in-residence at Lincoln Center.

Brad Walrond, poet, writer, and conceptual/performance artist, is the author of the recently-released and highly acclaimed Every Where Alien, with poetry vividly tracing his journey through the NYC under-ground Black art movements of the 1990s and the 2000s.

Jamel Mims, African American rapper, multimedia artist, revolutionary. Also known as the bilingual storyteller MC Tingbudong, his work concerns cultural connections between Black America and China. He has performed across the U.S. and China, and featured in The New York Times, i_D magazine, PBS News, Variety, VICE, The Nation, and more.
