Salman Rushdie: The Golden House

Widely considered one of the greatest writers of modern times, British-Indian novelist and essayist Salman Rushdie was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his service to literature, elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and awarded the prestigious Man Booker Prize.

We’re honored to host the author at the Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center for an important discussion of his new novel, The Golden House. Set against the backdrop of the Obama years, this modern American epic revolves around an enigmatic billionaire from foreign shores whose mystique is as irresistible to readers as to his fictional neighbors.

In conversation with Pulitzer Prize–winning author Geraldine Brooks.
