This talk is about the holiness of the encounter, political pilgrimage, and sacrifice through the lens of March on Harrisburg, a Pennsylvania pro-democracy group working to fight fascism with democracy.
Rabbi Michael Pollack grew up in Rockville, Maryland. During his last year of rabbinical school, he founded March on Harrisburg, a group dedicated to healing our wounded democracy by passing anti-corruption, pro-democracy bills in Pennsylvania. Michael’s hobbies include convincing politicians to not be corrupt, long marches through the Pennsylvania countryside, and sitting down in inconvenient places in the State Capitol.
Presider: Dan Hanson
Shared Charity: This week’s shared charity is March on Harrisburg, which lobbies, marches, and does nonviolent civil disobedience to move their bills and build an honest and productive relationship between citizen and state.
