Support Group Meeting for Parents Who Have ADD/ADHD
The Manhattan Adult ADD Support Group will have its next meeting on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Our meetings take place at the West End Collegiate Church (side entrance) 245 West 77th Street (Between Broadway & West End Ave. – North side of the Street)
This meeting will be different then those we’ve had recently… Brian Robinson, author of Adderall Blues, will be our guest speaker. He will talk about his book.
Brian Robinson will dig deeply into the misconceptions about ADHD, in addition to the need for a paradigm shift regarding how ADHD is not only perceived by society, but also the necessity to destigmatize the diagnosis. He will do it with humor and philosophical inquiry. Is ADHD a gift, a curse, or just a misunderstood cognitive style? Let’s talk about it.
Perhaps it’s all of the above?
About the Author: Brian is an author and mental health philosopher, whose book, Adderall Blues has been critically very well received by renowned professionals, His media appearances include a recent interview on Fox 5 NY and the Huffington Post. He was also a guest of Peter Shankman (another ADHD activist), on his podcast, Faster Than Normal.
We request a $5.00 donation at our meetings to help the group with its expenses.
