TAKE Dance

TAKE Dance, led by Takehiro Ueyama, presents In the Sea of Heaven, a program of two premieres by Ueyama and revival of a work by renowned choreographer/master teacher Kazuko Hirabayashi.  By Ueyama is In the Sea of Heaven, with live music performed by award-winning Japanese musician and composer Kato Hideki.  Also premiering is The Game 2, a second incarnation of the men’s quartet from Ueyama’s ballet Salaryman.   The Company pays tribute to the late Kazuko Hirabayashi and her work with a revival of her 2004 Les Reves D’apres Midi, originally created on Ueyama and Jill Echo.   Though created outside of her usual style, Hirabayashi choreographed a romantic duet that is timeless in its beauty and humanity.  Performances at The Flea, 20 Thomas Street in downtown Manhattan.
