Contemporary master Paul Auster comes to Symphony Space for the paperback of his Booker-nominated tour de force, 4 3 2 1. With author and scholar Todd Gitlin (The Sixties: Years of Hope, Days of Rage) and a performance from the novel by Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me by Your Name).
In 4 3 2 1, a novel NPR calls “stunningly ambitious,” a young man’s life takes four simultaneous and independent fictional paths. Four identical Fergusons made of the same DNA, four boys who are the same boy, go on to lead four parallel and entirely different lives.
At the Thalia Book Club, readers and writers meet for intimate conversations about compelling new books and favorite classics in fiction, essay, biography and more. Evenings include an actor performing an excerpt, an interview, and a conversation with the audience.
Book sales will be provided by Symphony Space. There will be a book signing following the event.
