The Lams of Ludlow Street

Documentary photographer Thomas Holton first met the Lam family in 2003 while photographing the neighborhood. What began as a more traditional documentary photography project about the life of several Chinatown residents developed into a more personal look into the life of a single Chinese family as and how their lives have developed and changed for almost a decade. He will discuss how the project started as well as the creative and thought process which he grew to know the Lams and witness the changes.
