The Most Urgent Town Hall That Has Ever Happened (a comedy show)

Saturday, November 4, 2023

Doors 6:30 PM, Show 7:00 PM

Caveat, NYC

Ages: 21+

There’s a climate crisis and the town of Greenville, USA is on the case! Watch as Coach Thompson tries his best to wrangle Greenville’s chaotic and severely overbooked Town Hall where everyone has something to say. This town hall has everything: concerned citizens! Erotic fanfic readings! Mixtapes! Oh, and did we forget to mention a full standup comedy show too? Starring The Climate Comedy Cohort — made up of comedians featured everywhere from The Late Show, BET and Comedy Central — this is the most hilarious way to exercise some civic participation!

The Climate Comedy Cohort is an unprecedented network of comedians who are coming together to learn, collaborate, and create hilarious new comedy informed by the latest climate science. Co-created and directed by the Center for Media & Social Impact’s GoodLaugh initiative (at American University’s School of Communication) and clean energy nonprofit Generation180, this project brings together comedians from around the country to flip the script on the way we think about climate change.
