The Orchestra of The Bronx in Handel’s “Messiah”

The Orchestra of The Bronx, joined by soloists and chorus of the Bronx Opera, will return to the Lovinger Theater at Lehman College for its annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah.

The unique presentation features 23 speakers, all members of The Bronx community, including college presidents and faculty; political figures; artists; honor students; a Bronx historian; a server from a popular Bronx restaurant, and many more.  Each will introduce a musical section with a short reading of the text of the Messiah,  taken from the King James Bible and the Book of Common Prayer.  As always, the performance is free to the public.
